Zeta potential is a key indicator of particle system stability. With high zeta potential, the repulsive force between particles is strong and the system tends to be stable. With a low zeta potential, the repulsive force between particles is weak, particles are easily aggregated or clotted, and the stability of the system is weak.
The main factors affecting the zeta potential are the pH of the dispersant, ionic strength (salt concentration) and the concentration of small molecular additives
