Scanning Electron & Ion Microscopes: For scientific and routine research
Electron microscopy, is a type of microscope that uses a beam of electrons to create an image of the specimen. It is capable of much higher magnifications and has a greater resolving power than a light microscope, allowing it to see much smaller objects in finer detail. A scanning electron microscope (SEM) is a type of electron microscope that produces images of a sample USING a focused beam of high-energy electrons. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) is another microscopy technique in which a beam of electrons is transmitted through an ultra-thin specimen, interacting with the specimen as it passes through it.
